Price Hill Will is a comprehensive community development corporation serving Price Hill. Utilizing an asset-based revitalization strategy, PHW has 3 main programs with full-time staff:

 

+ Community Engagement - supports resident-led community improvement initiatives that are focused on enhancing and preserving the neighborhood's most valued qualities.

 

+ Housing Redevelopment - manages rehab of single-family housing

 

+ Economic Development - supports the business community in improving the physical conditions of the commercial corridor, promoting local businesses, recruiting new businesses, and sponsoring special events

 

 

PHW is also a co-lead agency for the Place Matters Initiative.

McPherson Street Party a Success!

Volunteers filed in early Saturday morning to set up tables, tents and grills for the McPherson Street Party. With no idea how many to expect exactly, the organizers planned for several hundred and they were right. Thanks to the key partnerships formed to carry-out the event, volunteers were able to welcome the crowd and there was something for everyone.

Vineyard Westside organized a provided toys, clothes and household items to families in need of a hand. The Price Hill Will Safety CAT, Fast Eddie’s Grill and Urban Appalachian Council served hotdogs, hamburgers, snow-cones and refreshments. Mercy Hospital conducted diabetes and nutrition screenings. Safety Kits were handed out to residents– thanks to a donation from Warsaw Federal. The Lord’s Gym sponsored a weight-lifting competition. Thanks to everyone who contributed their time, talent, and most importantly, compassion for their neighbors!

Positive Presence in the Park is an annual family festival that is will be held at Olden Tot Lot on Warsaw Avenue. The purpose of this event is to bring about a positive influence to the heart of Price Hill. The festival includes a Christian Rap/Hip-Hop concert,  free food, moonwalk inflatibles, dunk tanks, corn-hole games, face painting, etc. Every year Positive Presence in the Park grows in numbers. The evening concludes with an inspiring message from a gifted speaker. All are welcome to come out for an afternoon and evening of entertainment and family fun!
