DAN ANDRIACCO, Secretary
Dan and his wife, Ann (chair of the Price Hill Will Arts and Culture CAT), are not Price Hill natives but chose to move to Price Hill when they married in 1975. For almost 24 years, Dan was a journalist at The Cincinnati Post, more than half of that time as business editor. In 1997, he switched careers and assumed his current position as communications director for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, the Athenaeum of Ohio, and Columbia Theological Seminary, where he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in 2000. In his spare time he has written three books and numerous articles. He likes to travel, especially in countries where he can practice his Italian and German. Dan and Ann are passionately committed to Price Hill. So is their daughter, Beth, also a Price Hill resident and community organizer for Price Hill Will. Dan and Ann also have two sons and four grandchildren.
WILLIAM D.G. BALDWIN
Bill and his wife moved to Cincinnati in 1993 shortly after the birth of their first son. He worked in the Institutional Trust area at Fifth Third Bank. Bill began attending night school at Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University and graduated magna cum laude in 1997 after which he became an associate at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. In 2004, he was made a partner there. While he took a brief leave in 1998 to work as general counsel for Chavez Properties/Parking, he returned to Vorys in 2010.
In addition to the law degree, Bill holds a BA in Economics from the University of Wisconsin. His awards include the Ernest Karam Book Award for highest grade in Constitutional Law (1996) and Pre-Trial Litigation (1997); 2006 Cincinnati Business Courier 40 Under 40; Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star 2005 and 2006; Hamilton County Mental Health and Recovery Board “Person of the Year” 2007; 1st Place 2008 Miami Valley Mountain Bike Association 6-Hour Race at John Bryan State Park – Solo Division; 3rd Place 2008 and 2009 Ohio Mountain Bike Cup Race at East Fork, Masters Division
Bill’s interests include being an avid cyclist; coaching youth lacrosse and football; enjoying attending his three kids’ sporting events; music appreciation (devotee of alternative/independent music); and searching for the best burger in Cincinnati
Bill would like to see Cincinnati continue to evolve into a progressive, desirable, 21st century city and Price Hill Will continue to be a positive influence for change in Price Hill, helping sustain the neighborhood into the future and being an example for similarly challenged neighborhoods in the city.
PAT BRUNS, Vice-Chair
A native Cincinnatian, Pat received her BA at the University of Kentucky in 1973 and completed her Masters in Art Education at Miami University in 1985. As an art educator in The Northwest Local School District for 30 years, she was involved in a variety of professional development opportunities that focused on integrating the arts into the overall curriculum. In her role as President of the Northwest Association of Educators, she was a strong advocate for high quality public education.
Pat has presented workshops locally on Concept-based Integrated Curriculum and at The National Art Education Association conferences on Discipline-based Art Education curriculum. She has been a participant and consultant for The Getty Center for the Arts in Education and CET’s Arts Connections. In these capacities, she planned and facilitated summer arts-integration workshops for teams of educators with an emphasis on learning through the arts and the role of multiple intelligence theory when developing teaching and learning strategies.
A self-proclaimed teacher geek, Pat has divided her time as an Ohio Department of Education Praxis III Assessor (2004-2009) and supervisor of student teachers at The College of Mount Saint Joseph since retiring from teaching in 2004.
More recently, Pat has pursued art in a more personal venue as a muralist for Artworks Cincinnati in Over-the-Rhine and South Cumminsville and as a member of Art4Artists, a group of professional and community women artists who meet regularly at the Clifton Recreation Center to share ideas and works, learn and experiment with new techniques and celebrate the importance of the arts in our everyday lives. Pat was instrumental in connecting Art4Artists to Harmony Garden, which resulted in artists creating works in their own media to reflect on and respond to Harmony Garden’s Picturing a Healthy Girl photovoice project for Price Hill mothers and their teen daughters. The photovoice exhibit and the responses of artists in Art4Artists are circulating together in Greater Cincinnati to stimulate dialogue about what girls need to be healthy and safe and to promote collective community action to improve the futures of all our girls.
Pat was a consultant for The Save Our Sculpture/A Smithsonian Project: A curriculum guide to Ohio’s Public Sculpture. She was listed in Marquis Who’s Who in American Women 2005 and she is included in the Colerain High School Art Department’s program in The Getty Education Institute entitled, The Quiet Evolution: Changing the Face of Arts Education (1977). She was the recipient of the 1994 SWOAEA Art Educator of the Year Award and the 1995 Ashland Golden Apple Award.
Recently appointed to the Board of Directors and a member of the PHW Housing and Arts Community Action Teams, she develops community-wide opportunities for engagement in the arts and activism on behalf of quality of life issues. She especially enjoys teaching the summer youth photography workshops she developed for 6-8th graders!
She remains actively involved with Price Hill Will because of the dedicated individuals who inspire the creative solutions that are continuing to help make our neighborhood great!
In her spare time, Pat tends to her 100 year-old home in Price Hill when she is not traveling to artful destinations!
BILL BURWINKEL, Chair Economic Development Committee
Bill started his sales career in 1970 after serving with the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
From 1975 through 1979 he worked for Pioneer Products, after which he joined the Shur-Good Biscuit Company of Cincinnati, Ohio.
In 1983 Bill founded NATIONAL MARKETSHARE GROUP inc. With a focus on the future and committed to “Exceeding Customer and Principal Expectations”, Bill assembled a TEAM that believes in the importance of family, hard work, having the RIGHT ATTITUDE, giving back to the community and having fun. In his role as Chief Executive Officer, Bill is focused on our commitment of “Exceeding Customer and Client Expectations”.
In addition to his business duties, Bill devotes time to fulfilling our corporate philosophy of “Giving back to the community is an obligation, not an option”.
Bill is actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America serving on the 1997, 2001, 2005 and 2010 National Jamboree Committee. He has also serves on the Council Board of Directors. He has received the Council Scouter of the Month Award on several occasions and has been awarded the Silver Beaver Award, scouting’s highest non-scouting award. He has also been active throughout the Greater Cincinnati community serving on the Board of Price Hill Will, the Lower Price Hill Community Council, Co-chair of the Oyler School LSDMC, Chair of the Oyler Renovation Design Team, Chair of the Oyler Green Initiatives Committee and the Board of the Queensgate Business Alliance.
As a further expansion of National Marketshare Group’s commitment to the community, in 2003 Bill created the Adopt A Class Foundation. This program facilitates personal, sustained connections between members of the business community and the students in pre-kindergarten thru 8 th grade with the purpose of providing positive role models and developing practical and social skills for the students and building the culture of philanthropy and teamwork for businesses.
In 1998, Bill and his wife Beth, received the Preservation Award from the Cincinnati Preservation Association for the renovation of the West End Bank Building which now serves as NATIONAL MARKETSHARE GROUP inc. Corporate Headquarters. Bill is a 2009 graduate of the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class XXXI and a Rotary Club nominee for the Jefferson Award. In 2008 he was recognized as one of Cincinnati’s “Most influential people in Education”. While Bill earned a GED Diploma while serving our country, he has also received Honorary Diplomas from Oyler Community Learning Center and Elder High School.
CYNDY DRIEHAUS
Cyndy is an account executive at Custom Mail Services and has been a resident of Price Hill for thirty-five years. Fourteen years ago she started the Carnation, Hermosa and Schulte Block Group which is still active with an estimated 40 households. She has also been involved in west side block club summits and large neighborhood gatherings for Price Hill block watches with planning and execution. She works with block groups from other areas to facilitate communication and the use of technology.
Cyndy has been an active parent member of St. William Elementary School, Elder and Seton High Schools for over 18 years as a Mom’s Club member, auction worker and committee planner, PTO Board member, and overall volunteer logging in an estimated 20-40 hours per month as a volunteer. She is currently a board member of St. William Education Commission and Cincinnati Landmark Productions (the Covedale Center for Performing Arts).
In 2011, Cyndy was one of 10 women in the city honored with the Impact 100 Wendy Steele Award for Volunteer Excellence recognizing her work in the community.
Cyndy is also published children’s book author. Her first book The Royal Adventures of Princess Darcy and Princess Daisy was released in March 2007. She has done over 200 in person book signings, including some for charitable causes such as The Literacy Network.
Cyndy has been married for 26 years to her husband Don. They have four children (Danielle 22, Donny 19, Marcy 15, and Rose 13) and a wonderful dog Hannah who they adopted from Three Sisters Pet Rescue in Price Hill.
Her personal interests include a neighborhood book club, spending time with her children, the Cincinnati Young People’s Theatre at the Covedale Center for Performing Arts.
Her goals for Price Hill Will include increasing events that help promote the diversity of the region, especially our Hispanic community, volunteering to help with more events, and being a part of empowering all of our board members to utilize their individual talents to their fullest potential.
Sally Duffy, SC
Sally Duffy, SC is a member of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati since August of 1977. She serves as President and Executive Director with SC Ministry Foundation in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Sally has a master degree from the following universities: M. Ed. From Xavier University in Guidance and Counseling, M. PA from the University of Colorado in Health Care, and a M. Div. from Loyola of Chicago University in Spirituality. She also has additional graduate work in Theology and Counseling Psychology. Her undergraduate work was completed at Ohio Dominican University with a B.A. in Political Science.
Sally has served in the following capacities: high school teacher, coach, and guidance counselor; university student affairs staff and women’s basketball coach; oncology and emergency room crisis counselor; hospital administration including President & C.E.O.; college campus minister, and student affairs administration including VP Student Affairs.
Sally is a member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation – Board of Directors, St. Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, NE – Board of Directors, Seton High School – Board of Directors, Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate affiliated with Georgetown University – Board of Directors and Chair Institutional Advancement, Catholic Health Initiatives – Investment Committee, Local Initiatives Support Corporation – Local Advisory Committee, Place Matters – Comprehensive Community Investment Initiative – Core Group, Catholic Legal Immigration Network Inc (CLINIC) – Board of Directors and Treasurer, and FADICA (Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities, Inc) – Board of Directors and Process Committee.
Some of Sally’s past honors include the Pueblo, Colorado Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year in 1994, Ohio Dominican University Distinguished Alumni and a Charter Member of their Athletic Hall of Fame, Selected as one of the top fifty women basketball players in the USA in 1970 by the US Olympic Committee, Central Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame, Community Development Corporations Association of Greater Cincinnati Volunteer of the Year, and 1998 Student Graduate School Graduation Speaker for Loyola University of Chicago.
Most recently, Sally has received the Sr. Blandina Award (Santa Maria Community Services)
Kinship Award (Urban Appalachian Council), Sister Anthony O’Connell Circle of Compassion (Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation), an Honorary Doctorate from the College of Mount St. Joseph, and the Charles Carroll Award in Catholic Philanthropy and recognition from the Leadership Conference of Women Religious for service to Women Religious after Katrina.
BOB FITZPATRICK
Bob was born in Price Hill in November of 1931. Since May of 2000, he and his wife Mary have lived in the Incline District of East Price Hill on Mount Hope Avenue. He and Mary have four adult children.
Bob is retired from Proctor and Gamble after 40 years in Advertising, Public Affairs and as Vice-President-Secretary of the P&G Fund. He graduated from St. Xavier High School where he later served on the board of directors. Additionally, Bob holds BA and MBA degrees from Xavier University where he later served as president of the alumni association.
Some of Bob’s other volunteer activities include Northern Kentucky University Foundation, Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick, Cincinnatus Association, The Art Museum, National Council of Christians and Jews, Red Cross, Seton High School, and the American Classical Music Hall of Fame. Bob is a founding board member of Price Hill Will and is also a founder of Leadership Cincinnati where he was a graduate of the 1st Class.
CRAIG D. HOCKENBERRY
Craig grew up in Northeastern Ohio in the small town of Malvern. After graduating from High School in 1990, he was recruited to play football at the College of Mount St. Joseph. He was part of the first football team and played for legendary Coach John Pont. After graduating from Mount St. Joseph in 1995 with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, he immediately began teaching at Roosevelt School in the Cincinnati Public School system. During his short time at Roosevelt, he attended night school at Xavier University where he received a graduate degree in Educational Administration.
After Roosevelt School closed in 1998, he was named Assistant Principal of Oyler School in Lower Price Hill. After two years, he was promoted to Principal there. During the last 10 years at Oyler, the school has transformed from a K-6 school to a full service PRE-K-12 Community Learning Center. The school went from Academic Emergency to Academic Watch to Continuous Improvement and most importantly it has been graduating kids from a community that once held the highest drop-out rate in the City of Cincinnati. In 2009, Craig was named Cincinnati Public School Administrator of the Year and received the James N. Jacobs Award.
Craig lives in West Price Hill with his wife Erin and their three children Vivian, Gino, & Rocco. His personal interests included travel, cycling, running, swimming, and of course spending ever minute he can with his family. He’s an active member of the Price Hill/Western Hills Kiwanis Club. He’s involved with the Riverview-Delhi Kiwanis Club and The FreeStore Foodbank. He’s also a member of the Price Hill Civic Club, The East Price Hill Property Owners Associations, Lower Price Hill Community Council and he’s on the board of Santa Maria Community Services. His personal goal is to become the Superintendent of Cincinnati Public Schools.
FRANK HOLLISTER
Born in Los Angeles, California, Frank has an engineering degree from the University of California at Berkley and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. His work experience has been in a number of different fields, including aerospace engineering, distribution (warehousing and trucking), consulting, real estate and construction. Currently, Frank and his wife Jean reside on Purcell Avenue in East Price Hill. They own 51 rental units with all but one building is in East Price Hill’s Incline District. He has served as the community council (East Price Hill Improvement Association) president for 8 years, two terms as a director for EPHIA and the last four years as a member of the Price Hill Will Housing Community Action Team. Frank and Jean relocated to Cincinnati from Atlanta with the purpose of healing a neighborhood. Though there has been many positive steps, they still fell there is much to be done. They are committed to continuing the process.
CARL KISSINGER
Born in Price Hill, Carl grew up on the east side of Cincinnati, only to return to live in Western Hills in 1998. A 1985 graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Carl is President of Warsaw Federal Savings and Loan. He has been with the company for 19 years and during that time the company has doubled in size. Under his leadership, the company continues to be a supporter of the Price Hill community. Carl is on the Board of Directors of Warsaw Federal, is Treasurer of the East Price Hill Business Association, has sat on the Board of the Tri-State League of Financial Institutions, and has volunteered time at Our Lady of Lourdes church coaching, fundraising and as a festival booth chairman. He and his wife Maureen have four children, two daughters and two sons.
SR. SANDY HOWE, SC
Sr. Sandy is a Sister of Charity of Cincinnati. She graduated from the College of Mt St Joseph and is the community service coordinator at Seton High School in Price Hill. Sr. Sandy lives in East Price Hill where she is interested in the community and involved in many neighborhood activities. She is very happy to be a member of the Price Hill Will board of directors as the organization promotes the well being of Price Hill. Living and working in Price Hill with youth, she has a great connection with our future generations and hopes to continue to engage them in their community. Sr. Sandy enjoys sports, playing cards and movies.
JOE HUBER, Chair
Joe is a native and lifetime supporter Price Hill. He is the Chief Operating Officer for the Cincinnati Development Fund (CDF), a national leader in community development which brings financial institutions, nonprofit and commercial developers, and local governments together to create vibrant, diverse neighborhoods and strong central cities. Prior to CDF, Joe worked 10+ years at Fifth Third Bank. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Butler University in 1994. Joe is often performing music throughout the Cincinnati region, and enjoys spending time with his wife Christina, and their 3 daughters. Joe is also a Board member at Warsaw Federal S&L, headquartered in Price Hill, and a member of the Elder High School Advisory Board.
H. A. MUSSER, JR., MA, MSW, LISW
After graduating high school from Escola Bandeirante in Ceres, Goias, Brazil, Mr. Musser returned to the United States and received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. H.A. continued his education and received a Master of Arts from the Presbyterian School of Christian Education and a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, both in Richmond, VA. After experiencing the life of a missionary family in Brazil, he knew that he wanted to serve people and their communities.
In 1983 Mr. Musser served as a Planning Consultant for the United Way of Greater Richmond, VA. From 1984 to present day H.A. has been employed by Santa Maria Community Services in Cincinnati, OH. He began at Santa Maria as a Planning Specialist and soon became a Neighborhood Organizer. During this time period H.A. helped bring together resident to discuss common issues and work toward solutions. It was not long until he moved into the position of Sedamsville Center Director. H.A. has been the chief executive of Santa Maria since 1989, currently holding the title of President and CEO. For a brief period during this tenure at Santa Maria, Mr. Musser also served as part-time executive director of Price Hill Will, a community development organization in Price Hill.
In addition to being Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Ohio, H.A. has served as a Board Member for many organizations, such as Every Child Succeeds, the Leadership Council of Human Services Executives, the Alliance for Children, the Family Resource Center Coalition of Greater Cincinnati and the Hamilton County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board, and on many advisory councils, such as the Hamilton County Elderly Services Program and the Fifth Third Bank Community Advisory Forum. H.A. has also served as a representative to the Ohio Family and Children First, Family Stability and Practice Policy Subcommittee, and as a presenter for the Family Resource Center Coalition of Greater Cincinnati and the National Conference of the Family Resource Coalition in Chicago, Illinois; the Child Welfare League of America, Southern Regional Conference in Charleston, South Carolina; and the United Way of America Volunteer Leadership Conference.
H.A. not only serves the community through his professional life, but he also serves through volunteering. He has been a Disaster Social Worker for the American Red Cross, a member of the Price Hill/Western Hill Kiwanis Club, a Board Member of Price Hill Will, Shine Ministries, the Bible Chapel of Delhi Hills and the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, and a parent volunteer for the Mars Hill Academy, Covington Latin High School, Concordia Lutheran School and Quebec Heights CAMAS. H.A. has also attended Biblical Counseling Training and served as a National and Ohio Intercollegiate Soccer Official, as well as a youth soccer coach.
Mr. Musser has also earned many awards and honors, including the Most Outstanding Executive Director, Community Development Corporations Association of Greater Cincinnati in 2007, the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award for leadership and service from Berea College in 1993, the Phi Kappa Phi Award for scholastic honors from the Graduate School of Social Work, Virginia Commonwealth University in 1983, the Louise Veltin Award for good citizenship from Berea College in 1980 and the Irene Ziegler Award for ability in the music education field from Berea College in 1977. H.A. was also a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society at Berea College from 1978-1980 for scholarship and service and captain of the Varsity Soccer Team, Berea College in 1979 and the team award recipient in 1979, 1977 and 1976.
Currently H.A. resides on the west side of Cincinnati with his wife, Rhonda. H.A. and Rhonda have four children.
BRETT NOLAN, Board Member
Brett is originally from Milwaukee, WI. He moved with his wife, Julia, to Columbus, OH in 2004 and then relocated to Cincinnati, OH in 2005 for career opportunities with U.S. Bank. They have 2 kids, Estella and Weston. Brett completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He volunteers his time with several organizations including Price Hill/Western Hills Kiwanis Club, Adopt-A-Class, United Way Emerging Leader’s Society, Dachshund Rescue of Southwest Ohio and U.S. Bank Development Network. His hobbies include spending time with family, anything outdoors, running, traveling, coaching and going out to eat. Brett and his family have been renovating a 100+ year old house in East Price Hill for the last 6 years. He believes in community involvement for all residents and creating a safe and sustainable neighborhood community through home ownership, education and personal responsibility.
JOHN PLOEHS, Board Member
John has taught at Elder High School, his Alma Mater, for 38 years in the English classroom. Teaching, coaching, chairing the Department and working not only for the good of the school but also for the betterment of every student--those pursuits have been their own rewards. John's wife and two grown children also have positions in education. Committee work and social networking have become vital elements to community progress, but for John emphasis on helping each individual to discover himself and his abilities is primary. A lifelong Price Hill resident, John loves to read, fish, and follow the local sports teams. Family comes first, but occasional meals with friends, recalling times past and present, are appreciated. One lives to make a difference, and making a difference in his community can affect the larger world. Being a part of an organization like Price Hill Will CAN make that difference in the lives of so many.
NICOLE WARE, Board Member
Nicole’s desire is to lend her entrepreneurial administrative, strategic planning and marketing skills to an organization whose desire is to change lives. In comes Price Hill Will. A resident of West Price Hill since 2002, she is an avid champion of Price Hill Will because they produce visible results in and for the community. As a Price Hill Will board member she serves on the economic development, governance, and fundraising committees. She aims to contribute further by vetting endeavors to scale the community to new heights. She has also served on the WCPO Community Advisory Board. Nicole is an alumna of Xavier University, Cincinnati USA C-Change Leadership Development Program, and Executive Director Institute with Executive Service Corps of Cincinnati. Her recent volunteer work includes serving in Christ Emmanuel Christian Fellowship’s Ministry of Exploits, and Union Baptist Church’s Summer Food Enrichment Program. A genuine admirer of arts and culture she pursues opportunities to expose and instill in her children an enduring appreciation.
