CURRENT SAFETY CAT INITIATIVES

BI-WEEKLY SAFETY WALK/LITTER PICK UPS

Ordinary residents have dedicated their time to showing Price Hill and the City that we care about the quality of life in our neighborhood. If you share this sentiment, please check the Events Calendar for the next walk.

GOOD GUY LOITERING

This has proven to be an effective way to increase safety. Neighbors bring their lawn chairs to street corners to prevent drug trafficking. Over the winter Good Guy Loitering will be shifted to safety walks, but look for us (and join in) in the Spring!

COURT WATCH

Price Hill Court Watch is made up of volunteers from the community who track individuals charged with crimes in East and West Price Hill as they pass through the court system. We follow cases that have significant impact on the community and provide statements about the effect the individual has had on the neighborhood for the judge to consider when establishing sentence. As the program has grown and developed it has become more influential among the prosecutors and judges, with many sentences being directly linked to the influence of the Court Watch members? This program would love to have your participation! Becoming involved could include: attending court, researching, or simply writing a letter. A current Court Watch member will be on hand to guide you through the experience. If this is of interest to you feel free to contact Patti Hogan at pm_hogan@fuse.net. www.phcourtwatch.org

essential for a safe, healthy neighborhood.

OTHER SAFETY INITIATIVES

Safe City Corridor Project unites businesses, residents, city officials and law enforcement in a plan to reduce crime and build awareness. Safe City uses a combination of technology and information sharing tools to empower citizens and achieve results. The Safe City model helps reduce common urban crimes like shoplifting, auto theft, panhandling and assault. People feel safe, less vulnerable and free to enjoy the community.
