WHAT WE'VE DONE

2000

Imago, an ecological education non-profit, forms a coalition of community partners to review their development of the Seminary
Square Eco-Village and conclude a broader strategy is needed for the entire community.

Spring 2001

Coalition hires a strategic planning consultant from Ohio State University to design an organization that would support a
comprehensive neighborhood revitalization strategy. They decide to take an asset-based approach.

Fall 2001

Coalition adopts the ÒAppreciative InquiryÓ approach to planning and begins interviews of Price Hill residents. Over 2,000

value about their neighborhood. Several themes emerge from the interviews and become the focus of the community action teams
(CATs). The coalition names itself Price Hill Will and forms a steering committee. It is housed as a program of Imago.

Spring 2002

Themes are introduced to the residents at a series of community-wide meetings. Residents sign up to become members of the
Community Action Teams.
