MYCincinnati Percussion Teaching Artist

Ben Sloan is a Cincinnati-based percussionist, sound-maker, and Teaching Artist at MYCincinnati. 

Ben received his Bachelor's in music performance from the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, studying jazz and improvisation. 


In addition to music performance, Ben spends time building odd percussion instruments to varying levels of success. In 2017, Ben built and installed The Percussion Park, a collection of outdoor percussion instruments in East Price Hill. 

To date, The Percussion Park is used as an occasional classroom for the MYCincinnati Percussion Ensemble and has plans to expand in the coming year.


To date, Ben has recorded and/or performed with a variety of artists including The National, WHY?, Mouse On Mars, Melissa Laveaux, Helga Davis, and Helado Negro.
