Annie Barr McAllister

Annie, Soprano, is an avid recitalist, operatic performer, teaching artist and researcher from Buffalo, New York. In 2021, Annie was awarded a United States Fulbright Grant to Ireland where she researched and performed Irish music for 10 months in Galway, Ireland. Annie was the inaugural Artist-in-Residence through CCM at the Twin Towers Retirement Community in College Hill where she lived and performed monthly recitals that culminated in 40 performances with the aim of inspiring personal expression and youthful living amongst the Residents. Annie is faculty at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music in the General Music Department where she teaches courses in vocal music to UC students. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Annie has also taught Voice at Xavier University, at CCM as a doctoral student and at many music schools in the Cincinnati area. Annie earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Voice from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, as well as a Masters of Music and Bachelor of Music in Voice at CCM. Annie is excited to develop MYCincinnati’s first Voice program and cannot wait to hear the voices of the Price Hill Community.
