Ethan Kimberly is a drummer and educator based in Cincinnati Ohio. A graduate of The College Conservatory of Music at The University of Cincinnati, Ethan spent his school years refining his drumming and composing skills under the tutelage of instructors like John Taylor, Ric Hordinski, and Grammy winner Kim Pensyl.
Following graduation, Ethan has maintained a busy and multifaceted working schedule as a drummer, audio engineer, and educator. Since 2019, he has held the drumset chair for rock outfit “Sylmar” and has recorded 3 records and completed several national/international tours with the group. Additionally, Ethan writes, sings, and drums for “Touchdown Jesus”, an equally busy band with only 2 releases under its belt that has already received international recognition and critical acclaim from the likes of Paste Magazine, Anthony Fantano, The Yellow Button, and more.
When he’s not on the road, Ethan regularly works as a side musician for a variety of artists in and around Cincinnati, sharing stages with artists such as La Formula, Steve Schmidt, Stephen Patota, Colin Palmieri, Angie Coyle, Justin Dawson, and many others. His broad skillset allows him to feel at home in genres such as jazz, funk, salsa, RnB, rock, and more.
Ethan has been a drumset and percussion educator for 4 years. He has experience teaching students as young as 4 and as old as 70, from absolute beginners to current professional musicians.
