Rachel Hastings serves as Price Hill Will’s Executive Director, leading staff, volunteers, and partners in collaborative efforts to improve the quality of life in the Price Hill neighborhoods. Rachel is passionate about helping residents build their skills and make connections to positively impact their neighborhood. Before joining Price Hill Will in August of 2018, Rachel worked at The Center for Great Neighborhoods of Covington for twenty-two years, utilizing community engagement, creative placemaking, leadership development, and real estate development to spark community improvements. Rachel has a Bachelor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies/Environmental Ethics from Miami University and a Master of Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati.Rachel hails from Chicago, though she’s called the Cincinnati area home since 1990. When Rachel is not building community in Price Hill, she and her husband, David, are busy keeping up with their two teenagers, Isabel and Owen. Between cross-country, track, marching band, and ultimate frisbee, the Hastings kids literally run circles around their parents. Rachel loves to cook, bake, garden, and dote on super mutt Lola when she’s not dreaming up a wish list for the seventeen-years-in-and-still-going-strong renovation of the Hastings’ 1907 American Foursquare in Northside. The Hastings family has a bit of wanderlust (perhaps due to those never ending home projects) and love to travel when possible!
